This is even made better if your opponent can't play other cards when you have more Elixir than them.Ī well placed Tesla is a solid defense against enemy units. Using Hog Rider while your opponent is affected by Freeze will allow him to deal a lot of damage to Towers while enemy units are helpless to stop it. Use him to charge at your opponent's Towers and really put the hurt on them. The Hog Rider is the backbone of this deck's offense. You want to always be in a position where you have more Elixir open to you than your opponent. Using it at the right time to stop your opponent and make positive Elixir trades is key to winning with this deck. A main point of focus here is being smart and precise with the use of Freeze against your opponent's units. While most of the cards included here can be obtained in earlier Arenas, their synergy works very well, even in the Legendary Arena.

We hope you enjoyed the announcement of Sounds of Summer, a musical experience of 12 chill-hop tracks to enjoy for all the lo-fi fans out there. Blood sprays through the air with the elegance of a leaping ballet dancer. Walls in Olympia gleam more brightly and shadows in Hades flickr more ominously. God of War 3’s already impressive graphics aged reasonably well over the past five years, and are even better with modern textures and lighting. It’s hard to stay mad at a game that’s so pretty, though. Specifically, I don’t like the way characters like Hermes and Hercules are introduced and summarily dismissed, and the anticlimactic ending still leaves a bad taste in my mouth. That makes it tricky to recommend to the uninitiated, because newcomers may wonder why half the Olympians are already dead when the story starts, or why Kratos is so callous toward people who claim to be his allies.Įven knowing all that came before, I still consider God of War 3’s story to be the weakest in the trilogy. There’s a brief recap video, but it’s not quite enough to give you the context you need if you’ve never played before. God of War 3 is a strange place for Sony to start remastering the series, since it picks up right where God of War 2’s cliffhanger ending left off, and assumes you’ve played all the previous entries (including Ready at Dawn’s excellent Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta for PSP). The “meh” plot remains a weak point, but the excellent combat and action-platforming reminded me why I love this ultra-gory series. These graphical touch-ups make Kratos’ final quest for vengeance against the Olympian gods even more beautifully gory (though not quite enough that it could pass for a game specifically built for the PS4). God of War 3 Remastered for PlayStation 4 recaptures the thrill of the threequel, thanks to the addition of 1080p resolution, a steadier frame rate that usually sits around 60 frames per second, and high-definition textures and lighting effects. For the first time in the Outlast series, players will have to cooperate with a friend to solve the game’s sadistic puzzles. Of course, the star of the show here is the multiplayer feature. However, that doesn’t mean that Outlast Trials won’t have its fair share of terrifying locations, as we’ve seen that things like abandoned warehouses and spooky haunted mansions will be part of the game. It seems like this game has taken a page out of Outlast II’s book, featuring some larger open spaces that look nothing like the first Outlast claustrophobic asylum. The few scenes we’ve seen so far of Outlast Trials look positively fantastic, in a twisted way. As we know from games like Outlast: Whistleblower, this series has never shied away from touchy subjects, and it seems like Trials will keep some of that infamously twisted atmosphere intact. |
